Bloody Internet

As you will probably see the last two blogs are practicaly identical - this would be due to the fact that It hadn't posted the first one when I checked so I posted it again! It was last in a long line of internet cock-ups that day. Anyway just thought I'd clarify that the sun isn't sending me around the bend however the technology is!!

Koh Phangan

Just thought I'd check in and say hello to everyone! Has been a very hard week (not). Have not done much besides sunbath and wander around at night having the occasional Vodka!! I am going on a boat tour of the Island tommorrow - thought I should at least attempt to do something and see some more of the Island before I move on! That will probably be on Tuesday when I will be going to one of the smaller Isalnds to do some diving - just hope I don't run into any scary sharks - I am going to go on a mission to see if I can find Nemo! Apparently he does live some where aroung here!! Hope everyone is not freezing too much in lovely England!! I won't rub it in by saying how nice the weather is over here!!!

Koh Phangan

Well I have been at the beach for what feels like an age now - not done much really but hey I've got six months to run round like an arse wearing myself out - so I think taking it easy and sunbathing all day is perfectly acceptable! I am going off on a boat tour tomorrow in a bid to try and do something while I'm here and try and see more than two beaches. It is actually just another excuse to go and sunbath somewhere else really! I'm going off to he other Island of Koh Tao on Tuesday so I can go and do my diving certificate - then will probably spend the rest of my days there sunbathing and diving and drinking followed by a bit more sunbathing I suppose!! After that I am heading down to Singapore to do some more sight seeing and undoubtedly a bit more shopping!! I have been quite reserved so far but my wish list is increasing by the hour and I just have to figure out how I'm going to get it all home!!!!

Bye Bye Bangkok

Well I'm just waiting for my bus now, so thought I'd kill some time and update this! I went off exploring yesterdy - walked for what felt like bloody miles and eventually ended up at Wat Po - the home of the longest reclyning Buddah (very cultural I know!) it was ok very peacful and even got to see a few monks! Kept expecting something from Crouching Tiger to occur but it didn't. As i got up late today - this bloody jet lag is driving me mad! I decided to take a trip to the zoo - yes you read correct - the zoo! It was pretty much like any other zoo - apart from the huge iguarna (spelling?) that decided to come and sit next to me on a bench! Needless to say I didn't stay around to make conversation with it! Plus it was only 30 Baht to get in (about 50p).
Attempted to do some shopping when I got back but nothing in particular caught my eye - and I couldn't see the sense in buying something just for the sake of it (I know, the heat must be getting to me!). I can't decide where to stay in Ko Phang Yang (spelling?) - whether to head over to where the full moon party is, or whether to chill on the other side of the Island? I think I'll probably make my mind up on the bus! Anyway I'll sign off for now - tara a bit!

Finally

I'm finally here, is quite surreal really. There is not much to report really as Jet Lag is a bitch and my brain has only just started to work properly. I'm currently in Bangkok just off the Koh San Road and am about to go off exploring. Has been relatively pain free so far (should I tempt fate), but is quite lonely. That's what you get for deciding to go off round the world on your own! I'm having a bit of pessimistic day today so am trying to look on the bright side - I haven't actually been anywhere yet so how am I supposed to make friends. Planning on staying here for a couple of days, then heading off to the beach. I'll be back with my next update soon.

Not Long Now

Only 6 more days left at work! Moving out of my house this weekend! Only 10 more sleeps until I actually go! Have been looking at loads of other blogs of people who have done the same sort of thing and I am sooooo excited now! Shame I have not sorted anything out still!! Off shopping this Saturday to buy bits to take (not sure what bits - but bits!). Still not sorted out flight out of Thailand (although in the grand scheme of things this is quite a crap problem to be moaning about!). Also accidentally ripped up one of my Oz Experience bus vouchers - have stuck it back together (looks like a six year old did it!), really don't think it will be accepted - so that'll be me back on the phone to my helpful travel agent (Sophie - Travel Nation!!) to see if she can send me another one!!
